Well another week of having the pager is over and what a week it was. Richard is at the brink of exhaustion at this point as last week he logged about 12 hours worth of pager time. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was time during the day, but inevitably it’s always time during the night. I don’t think that Richard got more than 5 hours of sleep at any one night in the last 7 days and many nights it’s been only a couple of hours at a time. This weekend it will be nice to relax a little and catch up on our sleep; however, we have a meeting on Saturday morning so we can only sleep in but so much. One good thing though is that we are taking his comp day(for having the pager this week) next Thursday which will give us a 3 day weekend. We’ll need it to catch up on projects because it always seems like during the weeks Richard has the pager that we get nothing done. And I am to the point where if anyone calls him from work while he is off I just might have to disconnect my phone!
